Features
Every part of student life, one app.
Each tab in HowFar solves something students already deal with every week. Here is what each one does and what you can expect from it.
Chat & Calls
Talk to anyone on campus. Keep it between you.
Find a coursemate by name and start talking. No phone number swap, no awkward "who is this?". Send voice notes, photos and files, or jump on a voice or video call. Your one on one chats are end-to-end encrypted, so only you and the person you are talking to can read them. Not even HowFar can.
- Voice and video calls, one on one or with the whole group
- Voice notes, photos, documents and read receipts
- End-to-end encrypted direct messages
- Encrypted backup, so a new phone never means lost chats

Every group your campus runs on. One tap away.
Your department, your level, your hostel, your fellowship, your football team. Stop begging for the right group link. Find it in Discover, join in a tap, and mute it the moment it gets noisy.
- Course, department and level groups
- Clubs, societies, fellowships and interest communities
- Discover tab to find groups you are not in yet
- Mute noisy groups without leaving, and admin tools for the people who run them

- Campus Feed, Following, Faculty and Trending tabs
- Post photos, videos and updates, and build a following
- Verified accounts for your school, faculty and student union, so you know what is official
- Like, repost, reply, bookmark and follow hashtags
